Membership Versus Accreditation
A2LA is a professional society run for and by its members. Membership dues are separate and distinct from accreditation fees. Accreditation is attained after an application has been completed, fees paid, assessment performed, and a decision made by the Accreditation Council. A laboratory does not have to be a member to be accredited, and accreditation by itself does not confer membership.
Categories and Dues
