DOD Environmental Laboratory Accreditation Program
Since 2009, A2LA has been recognized by the U.S. Department of Defense Environmental Laboratory Accreditation Program (DoD ELAP) to provide accreditation for laboratories performing analysis in support of restoration work for the DoD.
This specialty program is covered under A2LA's environmental field of testing.
Program Requirements
- ISO/IEC 17025 General Requirements for the Competence of Testing and Calibration Laboratories
- DoD/DoE Quality System Manual (QSM)
- Optional Requirements for the Accreditation of Field Work
- A2LA also offers additional requirements for laboratories performing tests in the field (i.e., at other than a permanent laboratory site).
